He Lives
by Alfred H. Ackley

I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today;
I know that He is living, whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him He's always near.

Chorus:
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

In all the world around me I see His loving care,
And tho' my heart grows weary, I never will despair;
I know that He is leading thro' all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing will come at last.

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find,
None other is so loving, so good and kind.

I Know That My Redeemer Lives
midi

I know that my Redeemer lives; O the sweet joy this sentence gives!
Alleluia! Alleluia!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead; He lives, my everlasting Head.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

He lives to bless me with His love, And still He pleads for me above;
Alleluia! Alleluia!
He lives to raise me from the grave, And me eternally to save.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

He lives, my kind, wise, constant Friend; Who still will keep me to the end;
Alleluia! Alleluia!
He lives, and while He lives I'll sing, Jesus, my Prophet, Priest and King.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

He lives my mansion to prepare, And He will bring me safely there;
Alleluia! Alleluia!
He lives, all glory to His name, Jesus, unchangeably the same.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Jesus Christ Is Risen Today

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once, upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heav'nly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains which He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured; Alleluia!
Now above the sky He's King, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Sing we to our God above, Alleluia!
Praise eternal as His love; Alleluia!
Praise Him, all ye heav'nly host, Alleluia!
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia!

Jesus Lives, And So Shall I

Jesus lives and so shall I. Death! thy sting is gone forever,
He who deigned for me to die, Lives the bands of death to sever.
He shall raise me with the just; Jesus is my Hope and Trust.

Jesus lives and reigns supreme; And, His kingdom still remaining,
I shall also be with Him, Ever living, ever reigning.
God has promised: be it must; Jesus is my Hope and Trust.

Jesus lives, I know full well, Naught from Him my heart can sever,
Life nor death nor powers of hell, Joy nor grief henceforth forever.
None of all His saints is lost; Jesus is my Hope and Trust.

Jesus lives, and death is now But my entrance into glory.
Courage then, my soul, for thou Hast a crown of life before thee;
Thou shalt find thy hopes were just; Jesus is the Christian's Trust.

Jesus Lives! Thy Terrors Now

Jesus lives! thy terrors now Can, O death, no more appal us;
Jesus lives! by this we know Thou, O grave, canst not enthral us.
Hallelujah!

Jesus lives! henceforth is death But the gate of life immortal;
This shall calm our trembling breath, When we pass its gloomy portal.
Hallelujah!
Jesus lives! for us He died; Then, alone to Jesus living,
Pure in heart may we abide, Glory to our Savior giving.
Hallelujah!

Jesus lives! our hearts know well Naught from us His love shall sever;
Life, nor death, nor pow'rs of hell Tear us from His keeping ever.
Hallelujah!

Jesus lives! to Him the throne High o'er heav'n and earth is given;
May we go where He is gone, Rest and reign with Him in heaven.
Hallelujah!

Joy Dawned Again On Easter Day

Joy dawned again on Easter day, The sun shone out with fairer ray,
When, to their longing eyes restored, Th'apostles saw their risen Lord.

His risen flesh with radiance glow'd; His wounded hands and side He showed:
Those scars their silent witness gave That Christ was risen from the grave.

O Jesus, King of gentleness, Do Thou our inmost hearts possess;
And we to Thee will ever raise The tribute of our grateful praise.

Jesus, who art the Lord of all, In this our Easter festival,
From ev'ry weapon death can wield Thine own redeemed, Thy people, shield.

All praise, O risen Lord, we give To Thee, who, dead, again dost live;
To God the Father equal praise, And God the Holy Ghost, we raise

Lift Up, Lift Up Your Voices Now

Lift up, lift up your voices now!
The whole wide world rejoices now;
The Lord hath triumphed gloriously,
The Lord shall reign victoriously.

In vain with stone the cave they barred;
In vain the watch kept ward and guard;
Majestic from the spoiled tomb,
In pomp of triumph Christ is come.

And all He did, and all He bare,
He gives us as our own to share;
And hope, and joy, and peace begin,
For Christ has won, and man shall win.

O Victor, aid us in the fight,
And lead through death to realms of light;
We safely pass where Thou hast trod;
In Thee we die to rise to God.

The Lord Is Risen Indeed

"The Lord is ris'n indeed," And are the tidings true?
Yes, they beheld the Savior bleed,
And saw Him living too, And saw Him living too.

"The Lord is ris'n indeed," Then justice asks no more;
Mercy and truth are now agreed,
Who stood opposed before, Who stood opposed before.

"The Lord is ris'n indeed," Then is His work performed;
The captive surety now is freed,
And death, our foe, disarmed, And death, our foe, disarmed.

"The Lord is ris'n indeed," Attending angels hear;
Up to the courts of heav'n, with speed,
The joyful tidings bear, The joyful tidings bear.

Then take your golden lyres, And strike each cheerful chord,
Join all the bright celestial choirs,
To sing our risen Lord, To sing our risen Lord.

Majesty

Majesty, worship His majesty
Unto Jesus be glory, honor, and praise
Majesty, kingdom authority
Flow from His throne unto His own, His anthem raise!
So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus
Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus the King
Majesty, worship His majesty
Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all kings!

The Old Rugged Cross

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

Refrain
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.

Refrain

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

Refrain

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He'll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I'll share.

Refrain
